Beware ones on AliExpress etc: they are version 1 or version 2 which are both Generation 1, often supplied without the special Li-Ion battery, and the screen is poor. In contrast, the ones from come-here.co.nz are...
- Shipped from New Zealand next business day
- Obtained through the officially authorised HP distributor
- A comparison of the G1 and G2 versions is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_HP_graphing_calculators
- Do you want the G1, or the latest generation (G2)? By default the version supplied is the G1 (Generation 1 hardware revision C , HSTNJ-BC01, HP part number G8X92AA). This supports USB OTG connections between HP Prime calculators. 32 MB RAM, 512 MB flash memory. However, you can choose the G2 (Generation 2, hardware revision D, HSTNJ-BC02, HP part number 2AP18AA) version in a sealed pack by choosing it from the dropdown selection above. It has 256 MB RAM, 512 MB Flash memory, a better battery, and a faster processor compared to the G1
- You can select from the following options:
- HP Prime, refurbished, G1 (Generation 1) G8X92AA hardware revision C
- HP Prime, refurbished, G2 (Generation 2) HP part number: 2AP18AA hardware revision D
- HP Prime, new in sealed pack, G2 (Generation 2) HP part number: 2AP18AA hardware revision D
- Both the G1 and G2 refurbished Primes have been upgraded to the latest firmware (13 April 2023, ver 2.1.14730)
- What does "Refurbished" mean? All refurbished products work 100% and have a perfect screen. Read more here
- Built-in CAS (Computer Algebra System for symbolic manipulation)
- Python and Prime Programming Language (PPL) - explained at the bottom of this description
- 3D graphing
- RPN and algebraic entry modes. "Algebraic" means the keystrokes are performed in the normal order: E.g.

- Features colour touch-screen with Li-Ion battery
- Pinch-to-zoom and drag using your finger on the graphs.
- The touch screen is great for re-positioning the cursor within a formula or program. I now get extremely frustrated with other calculators because they can't do that
- Warranties:
- Refurbished: 3 months
- New: 12 months
- There is a HUGE number of free games and other apps available, e.g. at https://www.hpcalc.org/ Some of these apps are highly specialised in the fields of electrical engineering and physics, for example
- Control loop and electrical filter design / Smith chart analysis programs are available, e.g. this
Linear Control Systems App

Explore math concepts with Dynamic Geometry, CAS, Advanced Graphing, and spreadsheet applications. Easily switch between symbolic, graphical, and numerical table views with dedicated buttons.
Add an image as a background and sketch and manipulate a function with your finger to create a blended learning environment. Graphs or charts can be moved for further analysis by a finger gesture. This eliminates the tedious navigating through control keys. By touching the screen geometric constructions can be produced as on a drawing sheet. The tensile mode can be executed directly with a finger movement in all directions. The keys of the calculator are complemented by appropriate menu fields at the bottom of the display appear depending on the context. By touching a displayed menu field, the corresponding function is executed.
The HP StreamSmart 410 provides access to sensors in real time - available separately
One of the programming languages is microPython. Contains the following Libraries: gc, MicroPython, random, arit, graphic, sys, ure, array, hpprime, ucollections, ustrut, builtins, lining, errno, utimeq, cas, math, uhashtab, cmath, matplotl, uio. You can add modules to the files system as well, and have access to all of the calculations and CAS functions, plotting using the calculators built in functions without the need for any external libs.
